Well, it's back to classes. If you have books posted here encourage people to search the lists to find the books that they need. Like starting anything, it will take a few semesters before people will really use this mechanism to buy books. Let me know about your experiences and what I can do to make the site better. If things are successful this semester, you can be sure to see more features coming down the line.

If you're looking at this now, you're probably comfortably at home. One of the initial questions when students put their books up, is how do I determine what price I should sell them at. Well here is one of the first tools that is available to determine this. Visit Barnes and Noble - Sell Your Used Textbooks and they will quote you what they are willing to pay. Take into consideration that it will be low, because it's analogous to the price the bookstore would pay you. Also, they don't accept every book, so you may not be able to find a price.
On that note, I am trying to create some way of figuring out what a reasonable price for the book is. It would be nice to have both the buyback price and the used value, so that sales could occur somewhere inbetween. Let me know. I'm open to suggestions.

Well, I'm one of the unlucky ones and have a final tomorrow. So to prevent myself from studying I put some more work into the site. My business partner (with gambitdesign.com) Kevin Bullaughey managed to find some time to put together a really nice How To / FAQ answering many questions that you may have about this site.
Back to Latin. Amo, amas, amat, amamus, amatis, amant. Don't stop with the continued posts. Go bug some people to put their books up here. We still need to get more.

Traffic has definitely picked up from the time I have put up this site. We now have over 80 books posted within the various schools. Two tasks must be accomplished now. We need many more books posted. Secondly, we need people to buy the books. If you successfully complete a sale, email me so I know and I will post the information that you provide.
With this new traffic as well as to attempt to reach more people, I have changed
the layout of the site significantly. While I still haven't modified the book listings to fit
completely into the layout, the main page has been given a more appropriate theme. I will
continually be working on changing and fixing the layout, so please let me
know what works and what doesn't work for you.
Also, as part of making the site larger and more logical, I have begun to divide the site up into appropriate areas. Currently there is a Premise section, which describes the motivation behind this site, and a How To section, which explains how to go about carrying out a book transaction. More will be added to these sections within the next few days.
On that note, get the word out about this site. Let me know how i can make it better.
The only way this will work is if an overwhelming majority of students rely on it for bothing buying
and selling. If you have books listed on here, make sure to let your friends know that you do. The
more people that look and know about the many books here, the more students will look at your
books and possibly buy them.
